Peer holidays

A holiday in the company of peers! Peer holidays are designed for the different target groups of social, health and family organisations. We cooperate with almost a hundred different public health, patient, disability, child and family organisations.

You can apply for a holiday even if you are not a member of any organisation. However, you must belong to a particular target group. For example, the holidays of the Finnish Epilepsy Association are intended for those with epilepsy. However, the applicant does not have to be a member of the Finnish Epilepsy Association. You can also apply together with your partner, other family members or an assistant.

Peer support increasing everyday resources

You can meet other people in a similar life situation, share experiences with others and gain more resources that help you in your everyday life.

There are 20 adults on the holidays and 10 families with children on family holidays. A volunteer holiday instructor is available on most holidays.

Different holiday destinations and holiday themes

We organise holidays in different parts of Finland at hotels, spas, sports institutes and rehabilitation centres. The themes of peer holidays are different from one another, and the holiday activity programme, accessibility and level of assistance available vary.

You can take part in the holiday activities if you want to, but taking part in activities is not mandatory.
